Regional People Services Leader
We are pleased to be retained on the search for a People Services Leader with a global European Engineering MNC. Having to navigate many disruptions and challenges brought forth by the pandemic, our client saw its revenue and workforce double in size, and is aiming to continue this expansion in the next five years. Such unprecedented growth can be attributed to the entrepreneurial culture that our client wears on its sleeve, as well as the presence of a strong Human Resources team whose functions align very closely with the organisation's business strategy.
Sitting at the forefront or the 'heart' of the HR organization is the People Services team, which is committed towards delivering world-class employee experience. In anticipation of the aforementioned expansion and to ensure consistent employee experience, our client is hence seeking an experienced People Services leader to helm the Asia-Pacific (APAC) service delivery models.
Reporting to the Global People Services Director, the Regional People Services Leader will essentially be responsible for building and developing the employee services team for the region. The first order of business will be to ensure that the workflow of the centralised services hub remains undisrupted and uncompromised even in the face of any extenuating circumstances. Concurrently with the establishment of strong HR delivery models in the seven countries serviced, the Regional People Services Leader will proceed to drive improvement projects laid out by the global team as well as optimisations that are pertinent to the specific localities.
As the point person overseeing a team of geographically dispersed specialists, s/he will undoubtedly need to direct resources in the most strategic manner. The successful candidate has to proactively cultivate ties with external vendors (e.g. Workday) responsible for the upkeep of the functions housed within People Services.
The Successful Candidate
This role will require candidates who have had experience working on shared/people services models spanning variegated stages (i.e. infant, developing, mature). As it is a regional role, you should bring with you knowledge of local labour laws and HR policies dotting APAC, including potential synergies between particular countries. Coaching and/or team management experience are favourable traits as the Senior Manager for People Services is expected to lead the team in various regional projects. Most importantly, the client is looking for candidates who possess keen strategic minds, specifically individuals who do not see HR Operations and Services simply as maintenance work. Instead, they constantly strive to draw connections between their own work and the work of others, and link those with the larger organizational goals.
