We are delighted to be working on a retained search for one of our global clients to help them recruit a People Services Manager. Due to company growth and improvement plans this is a new position as the business is creating an HR Shared Services function to support a global headcount with responsibility for driving a continuous service improvement approach through people, process, and technology. Reporting into the Head of People Services this role will manage a team of eight and will have accountability for the leadership and delivery of a customer centric end to end HR Administration service.

As the People Services Manager you will lead the People Services team and proactively role model customer service to create a culture of excellence across the customer experience. As this is a new position and function within the HR team, you will play a key part in both operationally running and establishing HR Shared Services. You will act as the point of escalation and subject matter expert for any transactions, contractual or procedural actions and queries that require guidance or resolution. You will ensure the team is effective and efficient at supporting in all areas of the employee life cycle and able to prioritise workload when needed. Within your role you will ensure a culture of continuous improvement always looking for ways to improve processes whilst ensuring a first-class service is being delivered. You will communicate and collaborate with the wider HR and payroll functions to understand business needs and make changes when required. It is critical that you set the standard for compliance ensuring the maintenance of accurate employee and HR records in line with data protection legislation and company policies.
To be successful in this role you would of worked within an HR Operations/HR Shared Services environment and preferably for a multinational organisation, you would have been involved in the set-up of a new team that delivers service to a business or function and be an experienced leader who is able to coach individuals/teams for high performance. You will understand the importance of the employee experience, relationship management and role model an excellent customer service mindset in an HR service environment. You understand and are experienced in the operational delivery of HR Shared Services and can demonstrate strong delivery against performance targets set. You will be self-motivated and resilient who can embrace change, influence and make commercial decisions while working with a can-do attitude and understand how the activities within HR services will impact the wider organisation.

This role can be based remotely but needs to be accessible to Liverpool, likely to be a maximum of 2 days/week. Salary is up to £88,000 + car allowance depending on experience and with a competitive benefits package.
