Delighted to be supporting a rapid growth staffing & recruitment business to hire their first Global HR Director. The business has gone through a huge growth journey over the last 3 years and now operates in the UK, US, Netherlands, and Singapore with circa 300 heads. The businesses ambitions do not stop here, and they are forecasting a continued growth and aim to reach 1000 heads this year.
Reporting into the COO, you will take both the operation and strategic lead in building a function that is able to support this scaling business, as most of the hiring is within the sales teams both the recruitment and training sit in a specialised academy within business operations however this role will help shape the EVP, branding and talent strategy as well as evolving a management and leadership development framework. The role will manage a decentralised HR function globally with HR Managers in each country reporting into the country heads with a dotted into this role. You will Business Partner the CEO and board whilst sitting on the operational management team. Key aspects in any sales business including defining and launching a performance management framework, reviewing benefits and reward. This business is hugely ambitious and motivated to take the business into a future event, the leadership team and board have credible track record in both PE and IPO as such the people strategy is a key lever for success.
The suitable candidate will have robust generalist HR experience ideally from a highly entrepreneurial and growth focused business, the business is under 5 years old. As such you will be building many processes from scratch so evidence in working in a greenfield environment would be beneficial. An appreciation of a global, multi-site environment will be highly valued as would working within a sales driven business. This role will be hugely visible across the leadership team so excellent communication skills, problem solving, and aspirational thinking will be needed. The business recognises this role will at times need to be operationally involved so applicants will need to be comfortable with a varied role supporting the business in all HR aspects. The business operates a hybrid working policy and would expect this person to be in London 2/3 days a week with occasional global travel. This is a hugely exciting role for perhaps someone operating as a number 2/deputy and ready to take the step up or equally a driven HR Director to join a growth focused business.
