On 16th October the BPM hosted a panel discussion at the HR convention „Zukunft Personal“ in Cologne. The topic was gender diversity and the aim was to discuss tangible solutions rather than another round of politically correct conversation.
On the panel where two board members of BPM – Christa Stienen and Malte Hansen; Michael Illert, Partner at Frazer Jones; Stephanie Schorp, Partner at comites and Dr. Sebastian Spörer, Head of Erstes Deutsches Zentrum für Leistungsmanagement. The panel concluded that diversity management is much more than agreeing to having a specific quota of senior leadership positions filled by women. Rather, gender diversity management must be a holistic approach to growing the diversity of the employee population through a wide range of measures, as well as understanding the positive impact that diversity can have on organisational outputs.
